Flat Creek Family Dentistry is a family dental practice that offers periodontal disease treatment as well as comprehensive dental care.  We serve the residents of Fayette County and the surrounding areas.

For Americans who are in their thirties and beyond, the threat of gum or periodontal disease is a very real and potentially dangerous condition. Periodontal disease is a gradual infection of the gums and the bones supporting the gums.  It is caused when the buildup of plaque on and around the teeth calcifies into tartar.  The tarter is covered with plaque that contains micro-organisms that release toxins causing the first state of gum disease known as gingivitis.  Gingivitis causes swelling, inflammation and bleeding of the gums and if left untreated it will only get worse.  Periodontitis occurs when plaque by-products lead to the destruction of the tissues that anchor teeth in the bone. The progression of periodontal disease is often painless, therefore this condition can go undetected until it creates serious problems that may require extensive restorative dental care.

Our dentists, Drs. Padgett, Ghalehgol and Kaigler are highly trained and have extensive experience treating periodontal disease of all types.  The best way to prevent periodontal disease is to practice good oral hygiene such as flossing and brushing daily and to get regular dental cleanings and exams.  Our dentists and dental hygienists work together to educate our patients on how to prevent dental problems such as periodontal disease.  For patients who are already suffering from this condition, our practice offers personalized and compassionate treatment to stop the progression and prevent further damage to the teeth and gums.

Please contact our Peachtree City Periodontal Disease Treatment Experts at Flat Creek Family Dentistry if you are in need of periodontal disease treatment or other dental care.  Our practice is currently accepting new patients and we work with many dental insurance companies including Delta Dental Premiere.  We look forward to caring for your smile.
